Free NewsWednesday, March 23, 2005 The pilot program, which will run for nine months, seeks to provide medical equipment to 150 qualifying adults. Goodwill Industries of the Valleys and the Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment and Endowment are joining forces to provide medical adaptive equipment to people with disabilities. Medical equipment - such as walkers, wheelchairs and hospital beds - will be collected, sanitized, inspected, repaired and redistributed to individuals in need. The pilot program, which will run for nine months, seeks to provide medical equipment to 150 qualifying adults. If the pilot program is successful, the two organizations hope to expand the program throughout the state.
